CARING FOR YOUR SOAP

As our handmade soaps are natural, it has a high glycerine content making it great for the skin!

Due to the high glycerine content of our soaps, the soaps may 'sweat' in high humidity conditions. Glycerine is a humectant which attracts moisture from the air and forms on the surface of the soap. If you find sweat beads on the soap surface before removing the wrapping, don't be alarmed. Just wipe away the moisture on the surface of your soap with a paper towel and your soap is ready to be used.

However, this also means that the soap bar has to remain dry after each use or it will become mushy! Don't want that do we?

To avoid that, here are a few ways to prolong the life of your favourite soap

  • Do not leave the soap bar sitting in a water filled soap dish or under a dripping shower head.
  • Keep it on a well drained soap dish.
  • If you are using a soap bag, leave the soap in the soap bag after each use and hang it in an area that would allow it to dry out.
  • Store all your unopened bar soaps in a cool, dry place and in its original packaging if not in use.
